Christa P. Diviney
Christa Diviney moved to the Emerald Coast in the 1970’s. Christa earned joint degrees, a Juris Doctor and a Master’s degree in Media Law. Christa was then admitted to the Florida and Alabama Bar. Christa furthered her education and received The Florida Bar’s Board Certification as a Criminal Trial Attorney. Christa has extensive litigation experience, including over 70 jury trials in Florida Courts.
Prior to joining the Matthews & Jones L.L.P. litigation team, Christa worked for more than a decade as a Clinical Trial Research Manager for a panhandle neurology practice. For nine years Christa worked prosecuting computer crimes and crimes against children in the 14th Judicial Circuit State Attorney’s office. Christa also practiced with a local firm in Civil Litigation, including construction, real estate and bankruptcy, while continuing to work with the State Attorney’ office.
Christa volunteers with local charities, museums, artists, and advocacy centers. Christa also speaks both at civic or community groups and specialized events. At these functions, Christa speaks to attorneys, law enforcement, government agencies, and local community members on various topics relating to child exploitation, law enforcement investigations, and litigation processes.
Christa’s practice includes Civil Litigation and Criminal Defense.
